• During this meeting, the Public Works & Infrastructure Committee approved five items, three through a consent agenda and two after public hearings, including:
  • The Park Lane Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Project which will replace a 0.3 mile stretch of Park Lane on the East side of Cedar Lake. This project has a total cost of $2.2 million.
  • Setting a public hearing for March 2nd, 2023 for the Hennepin Ave S (Lake St W to Franklin Ave W) Streetscape Project.
• The committee also received a report on 311 intake and workflow of Public Works cases. 311 currently has a backlog of requests due to the recent snowstorms and ice buildup. They are focused on creating a unified case management system and improving transparency of process in the next few years, in addition to increased collaboration with other city departments and jurisdictions.
