The bulk of the meeting was focused on Harold Simmons Park, whose “heart” will be in West Dallas. The park is now entering the construction phase, with an official groundbreaking ceremony on April 8, 2025.

The committee voted on making changes to the DART board voting bylaws, specifically amending Article VI, Section 3(B) to require a two-thirds majority vote for approval of the annual budget. The item failed.
