School Safety and Climate Committee

The purpose of the Board of Education of Los Angeles Unified School District is to act in the best interest of the students and the Districts’ stakeholders to ensure the District achieves positive student outcomes for its students in accordance with the District Mission and Vision. The Members of the Board have been elected by the communities to provide leadership, policy making and citizen oversight of the policies and practices that affect the students, families and schools within the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The Board shall ensure that the District is fair and equitable in the district’s response to the values, beliefs and priorities of each community within the District and in the allocation of all resources available to the District.
