Pace, the Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, is holding this virtual public hearing on its proposed 2022 Operating and Capital Budget Programs, 2022-2024 Financial Plan for Operations, and 2022-2026 Capital Plan. This hearing is one of eight being held, with four being virtual and four being in-person. See below for information about how to attend. Pace presents a balanced and stable budget for 2022 as no general fare increases are proposed for Suburban Service or Regional ADA Paratransit. The following service changes are proposed: At this virtual hearing, “active” participants will use Zoom and “viewing only” attendees will watch (live-stream) via YouTube. If one wishes to provide comments during this virtual public hearing you need to at least 24 hours in advance of the hearing start time. Live commenters need to provide an email address to receive instructions on how to access the public hearing on Zoom. If you wish to attend more than one virtual hearing, multiple registrations are necessary and you must pre-register for the each hearing at least It is important that you log into the hearing within 10 minutes of the start time for you to be admitted, but please do not attempt to log in any earlier than 10 minutes prior as access will be restricted. Please note that you’ll be able to see and hear the Pace executive who is serving as the public hearing officer but you won’t be able to see the other attendees or yourself; and only your name will be visible to others. When the meeting is opened for public comment, each attendee who specified during their registration that they want to provide comment will be unmuted, one person at a time, and each will be given two minutes to speak. Neither the hearing officer nor the other attendees will be able to see you, but they will be able to hear you. You are encouraged to keep your questions or comments relevant to the proposed 2022 budget. The hearing officer may or may not respond to you after you speak. Additionally, the public hearing will conclude once all commenters have spoken or up to 2 hours after the hearing commenced. If one wishes to view the hearing making live comments, you can access the hearing (in view-only mode) at at the applicable time. Closed captioning of the hearing will be available.
