@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle First up we have a Cleveland Landmark Nomination for the Romanian Baptist Church at 1416 W 57th. https://t.co/mKY44tppOz

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle No action will be taken on this nomination at this meeting. One member of the Romanian Baptist Church, David Jurca, speaks on the importance of this church to the Romanian community in Cleveland https://t.co/UV4OssqSWt

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle After comments on the nomination, the Landmarks Commission meeting officially begins.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The first Certificate of Appropriateness up today is a public art piece for East 4th Street Historic District, presented by Stamy Paul and Luz Pellot from Graffiti HeArt https://t.co/L7pdX8NnVc

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The first piece will be on the side of Red Steakhouse, The second will be on the brick at Blue Agave https://t.co/EYJdk14OUJ

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle Tom Starinsky from the Historic Downtown Cleveland Design Review Committee says they’re ecstatic to be working with this artist and adding more art downtown.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle After several comments from Commission members in support of the art, this motion passes unanimously.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The next Certificate of Appropriateness today is renovations to the Fidelity (Baker) Building at 1940 E 6th, presented by Paul Alessandro. Plans are to replace the storefront and integrate the building into the streetscape https://t.co/qLPk1AAtMe

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle Commission members ask about replacing the windows (they’ll be replaced with historic aluminum windows) and the entryway (which will be a wooden entryway, historically accurate)

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle This project is approved by the Landmark Commission, with the recommendation of adding safety lighting in the alley.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The 3rd Certificate of Appropriateness is for window replacements at the Lemaire-Misenko Residence at 1324 West Blvd, in the West Blvd Historic District, presented by Renee Lemaire & Brent Misenko https://t.co/MrcraeA7tf

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The first Concept Plan Review is for renovations at 3401 Clinton Ave in the Ohio City Historic District. Donald Petit introduces the project by explaining that there have been misunderstandings between the architect and the Design Review Committee.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle Jose and Claudine Aviles, the homeowners, present their project. They’re hoping to get final approval so they can continue with their project. https://t.co/bXVDh9CJkZ

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The Local Design Review Committee reviewed this design twice but is still waiting to hear details on some elements of the design.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle While this project was presented as a Concept Review, the Commission decides to approve it as a Certificate of Appropriateness with the recommendation to change the exterior color and have the front door approved by staff.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The next (and final) concept plan up for review is the demolition and new construction at 3784 Pearl Rd in the Brooklyn Centre Historic District, presented by Jill Brandt. They’re still in the preliminary stages of design on this project. https://t.co/rRSfJke2mT

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle The Commission has some questions and concerns for Brandt about natural light, the size of the units, the exterior design, privacy, and demolition of the existing building. This concept is approved.

@cledocumenters @NeighborUpCle Without any administrative reports or other items to discuss, this meeting is adjourned.
