The Omaha Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is a seven-member Board whose members normally meet quarterly on the first Thursday of February, May, August, and November at 3:00 p.m. at the Dewey Park Building, located at 550 Turner Boulevard. The Board has the power to advise the Mayor, City Council, and Parks, Recreation and Public Property Department on matters concerning: Land acquisition for parks, boulevards, and trails Park, boulevard, and trail improvement plans and costs The naming of a park or recreation facility
The Board meetings are open to the general public in accordance with the State of Nebraska Open Meeting Act
