New Business 8.01 Capital Asset Policy Revision with Weston.
Bréone L Dupree, MSA @Dupreezine 35/46
In an effort to align the district Capital Asset Policy to the state, the finance team is proposing an update to the districts internal policy. The adopted capital assets policy details a $5K threshold at which an item is considered a capital asset, but the finance team..
Bréone L Dupree, MSA @Dupreezine 36/46
intends to move to a $10K threshold. The $10K threshold is a guideline used by state and local governments in Indiana. This means that assets with a unit cost of $10k or more must be capitalized, while those below this threshold are expensed.
Bréone L Dupree, MSA @Dupreezine 37/46
The finance team also improved language to be concise and provide clarity in the policy. The policy will sit for 30 days before the administration requests for Board approval
Bréone L Dupree, MSA @Dupreezine 38/46
This will sit for 30 days.
