• The Administration, Libraries and Budget Committee picked up discussion on Amendments to the Rules and Procedures of the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners and the Hennepin County Rules of Public Participation brought forth by Commissioner Marion Greene. This was ultimately progressed to the next meeting after Commissioner Angela Conley expressed she would have to vote against these amendments as a whole unless they added a separate resolving clause for item 6B, which makes it so that open forum periods are no longer televised.
• The Law, Safety and Justice Committee approved agreements with the U.S. Dept. of Justice to accept $590,659 in 2021 Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funding. This grant funding no longer carries an enforceable Immigration and Customs Enforcement communication requirement.

Note: The Housing & Redevelopment Authority and the Regional Railroad Authority are both comprised of the Hennepin County Board members, but each are considered separate entities.

The Hennepin County Board committees are each comprised of the board members. They meet for each “committee” all in the same meeting, twice a month.
