- 10:30 a.m.: Subcommittee on the Chicago Recovery Plan hearing on use of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds

Alderperson Dowell calls the meeting to order. A quorum is reached. 20 members are present and no public comments.
Latoya Vaughn delivers grant amendments to the committee amounting to roughly 9.5 million dollars. The quorum count increases to 22 members.
Dr. Arwady from the CDPH gives some details on the community health workers program. CDPH wants to continue to fund community health workers to help address chronic disease and response teams to a potential pandemic.
Item no.1: An ordinance concerning an amendment to the Annual Appropriation Ordinance Year 2022 within Fund No. 925 for the Department of Housing is passed and will be addressed at the next meeting.
Item No.2 is next on the agenda. It’s an ordinance concerning the execution of a neighborhood opportunity fund grant agreement with Motoworks Chicago LTD for the property located at 1901 S. Avenue.
The developer intends to rehab its current location to allow for the expansion of its current motorcycle and scooter offerings to electric bikes, as well as the creation of a motorcycle riding school and community event space. The estimated cost is 3.7 million. https://t.co/IssEKvm0QT
The NOF Grant is 1.5 million and its projected timeline is a 12-month construction period.
