Committee discusses replacing or refurbishing 200-year-old Riverview Road bridge in Akron which may qualify for the National Register of Historic Places
Rita Darrow (Council District 1 and President) and Ilene Shapiro recognized the retiring Summit County Health Commissioner. She join the agency in 2001 and was promoted to commissioner in 2015 and has since led through opioids, covid, and ebola crisis'
They said the executive office has been reduced by 3 positions and the Sheriff's department is adding 10 positions including 3 laundry workers Overall staffing is reducing by 2 positions
