DL3 Realty in Woodlawn motion passes

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 3/12

There is a ten minute grace period to allow all speakers and listeners to make it on time. Often times city officials can be tardy to these meetings, given their busy lives. It makes sense to allow a few minutes so they can file in.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 4/12

The meeting is being held in person, so there is no worries of dropped zoom calls or anything of that kind.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 5/12

The first two speakers are from DL3 Realty. Their presentation is focused on the vision this development company has in mind for improving the blighted community of Woodlawn. The central message is about a proposed project on 63rd and Cottage Grove.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 6/12

According to the two speakers, the location is prime due to its CTA accessibility and could be the hub of that neighborhood with enough investment.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 7/12

Sorry for not having the names of the speakers, it is very difficult to make out everything that is being said. The event is being held in person, and I am watching a FaceBook Live link.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 8/12

There is a question asked about what renovations are coming to the CTA stop at 63rd and Cottage Grove. DL3 Realty will not be involved in decision regarding the future changes to the Green line stop at 63rd and Cottage Grove.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 9/12

The next question is about the financial details of this proposed development. The representative from DL3 Realty has assured her that the company as been in contact with the city to secure the funds.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 10/12

There is a vote on whether or not to approve the proposed development by DL3 Realty at 63rd and Cottage and the motion passes.

COMRADE_JAY @jhaylin_benson 11/12

And with that the meeting is adjourned. Took about 20 minutes to coverage what needed to be covered.
