Jeff Fusco (council at large) started the meeting at 1:01 pm with all members present The previous meeting minutes passed unanimously Fusco said the items up for public hearing will not be voted on until the 5 pm public hearing

Mike Antenucci (Zoning Director) said item 1 is a conditional use permit (allowing for an exception to a certain zoning requirement) an extra driveway at 1395 Superior Avenue He said the driveway started construction last year without permits

He said the traffic engineer and planning commission recommend against the permit The petitioner said the driveway is for safety purposes. Superior Avenue "had 113 accidents" according to the petitioner He said other options wouldn't be safe and would be too large

Margo Sommerville (council president and ward 3) encouraged planning staffers to go to the site She said that a house "not even 10 doors down" has two driveways. She said they should grant a permit to be equal with neighbors and due to nearby traffic concerns

Antenucci said item 2 is a conditional use permit for a commercial garage at 649 Flora Avenue The proposed garage would be an office for an adjacent property where the petitioner stores construction equipment and there will not be employees in the garage
